Hypnosis is a waking state of consciousness in which a person’s attention is detached from his or her immediate environment and is absorbed by inner experiences such as feeling, cognition and imagery. It is very similar to daydreaming or being absorbed in some of your favourite activities such as gardening or routine activities performed almost automatically as if in a trance.
Hypnosis is not something that is done to you, but something that comes from within yourself, with no loss of control at any time.
Clinical hypnosis is used very successfully for a wide range of problems and conditions.
